A trapezium has two parallel sides of length 5cm and 9cm. If the area is 91cm², find the distance between the parallel sides

Area of a trapezium = ½ h(a + b)

Where:

h = distance between the parallel lines =?

a = length of one of the lines = 5cm

b = length of the other line = 9cm

area was given as 91cm²

thus:

91 = ½ h(5 + 9)

91 = ½ h(14)

91 = 7h

h = 91/7 = 13cm

Now for the right answer to the above question:
