Which of the following media allow the transmission of sound waves through them?

  • II. Liquid
  • III. Solids
  • A. I & II only

Sound generally require material medium for propagation. All matter (or material) which include solid, liquid, and gas allow sound to transmit through them. Sound cannot be transmitted through empty space (or vacuum) only.
